Richard Rawlings RIP
It saddens me to have to report the death of Richard Rawlings who was a stalwart of Fulking village and a great benefactor of St Andrews, Edburton. I had known Richard for some thirty plus years and the one thing that I like to think we had in common was being opinionated about most things. Socially Richard was amusing and likeable and he will be greatly missed by all the Fulking villagers who knew him well. I count myself as one of those.

Fulking Village web site
I do urge you to have a look at the Fulking Village web site which has been updated and hides under the name ‘This is the web site for Fulking Village’. John Hazard, assisted by Miles Firth, has given the old web site a complete spring clean and made it all more attractive. I get the impression that, if it wasn’t for the village hall fundraising , only a few villagers would take the trouble to look at the enormous amount of information stored there.

Village Hall Entrance
Now that the village hall acquisition is almost complete, I am sure one of the improvements that will eventually have to be made will be to the front door. This door opens outwards above a few quite steep steps. If the door was opened in a hurry anyone standing on the steps could be knocked off; this might cause serious injury. Needless to add, access by wheelchair is impossible.
