Graham Jeffery bids farewell
Reverend Tim Harford
The Reverend Tim Harford is to be the new rector of the Downland Benefice (Poynings, Edburton, Newtimber and Pyecombe). His installation by the Bishop of Horsham will take place in Poynings church on Wednesday 28th November at 7:30pm and his first service will be family communion at Poynings on Sunday 2nd December at 10:00am, followed by holy communion at Edburton at 11:30am.
Harvest Festival & Picnic
October 21st — a traditional Harvest Festival Service at 11.00am will be followed by our ever popular harvest picnic lunch (which must be ordered in advance). The picnic will take place inside St. Andrew’s, or outside if the weather permits.
We welcome all parishioners to this event. To order picnics (£6.50), phone Jane Warne on 07812-465-559 or email standrewsedburton@yahoo.co.uk.
Hymns & Pimms
You are invited to join us in singing some favourite hymns in our lovely Downland Church accompanied by a complimentary glass of Pimms.
Cream Teas in Fulking on Saturday in aid of St Andrew’s
If you are out and about this coming Saturday (26th), please do come and visit us at Fulking Village Hall where we will be serving coffee and cake, and cream teas from 11:00am until 4:00pm. There will be bric-a-brac to browse through and Book Nook will also be open where we have had an influx of new books (more books always welcome).

Discomfontulator
St. Andrew’s offers complete cardiac security for christenings: it has placed a defibrillator right next to the font. You can now be confident that the godparents will survive the event. Cases of human spontaneous combustion (less common) can be tackled with the adjacent fire extinguisher.
The HART team from Henfield are coming to St. Andrew’s on Sunday 4th February at 12:30pm, immediately after Graham Jeffery’s 11:00am service. They will demonstrate cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of the new defibrillator. Everyone is welcome: turn up at 11:00am for the service, or 12:15pm onwards for the tutorial session.
