Save Fulking Village Hall

Fulking Village Hall and chapel have been at the heart of our community for one hundred years.

The Church now wish to sell both buildings, and our community has a once in a lifetime opportunity to raise the necessary funds to purchase them, so they can be safeguarded for the future.

Fulking Village Hall CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation) needs to now urgently raise £85,000 to cover the purchase price of £75,000 (below market value) and the associated fees.

Our Business Plan and Vision

The CIO is committed to delivering an incredibly exciting new vision for the Hall and Chapel, shaped by recent consultation.

Villagers were united in wanting a sympathetic restoration and modernisation that will breathe new life into the Village Hall so that it is an attractive, more accessible and welcoming space that reduces its environmental footprint and provides a range of social and cultural activities that enrich the lives of our community. In parallel, villagers wanted to see better use of the former chapel, and our plans are to transform this into a buzzing arts café, that will provide a valuable independent income stream to help us to become financially sustainable and that will be a place for local people to come together, and a welcome stop for visitors to the South Downs.

This vision is set out in a comprehensive Business Plan, which provides the business strategy and key goals to get from where we are now to where we want to be in the future. The CIO’s Business Plan can be downloaded here

If you like to discuss the Business Plan, please contact Peter Boarder at fulkingvillagehall@gmail.com with your contact details and one of our trustees would be very happy to talk to you.
