Poynings bonfire and fireworks
Join Poynings for their bonfire and fireworks at the Blacksmith Field (behind Forge Garage) on Saturday 4th November. The procession will leave the Royal Oak at 6:25pm approximately. Lighting of the fire and fireworks will follow. Please give generously on the gate. If it follows the pattern of previous years, there will be some food and drink available but the Poynings authorities have yet to confirm that.

You can take material to the bonfire 9:00am–5:00pm, October 17th–November 1st. It must be taken to the bonfire site, not left on the Forge forecourt. Clean burning material only — wood, cardboard — but no tyres, plastic, metal, etc.

Stage 2 (40k) retracing back to Steyning you then pass through Bramber, before turning East through Edburton and Fulking. From Fulking you head North, avoiding many main roads, and pass through Wineham, Warninglid and Handcross, before arriving at the Pease Pottage Services.

They are likely to be blocking Clappers Lane and The Street for much of the morning.

Village Hall Group

Fulking Village Hall East Window
The next meeting of the Village Hall Group (formerly ‘Village Hall Action Group’) will take place on Friday 27th October at 6:00pm. The village hall is the only interior communal public space in Fulking. We should be making more use of it. Your participation is encouraged — all villagers are welcome at the meeting.

A planning meeting of the Fulking Parish Council will be held at  6.30pm on Wednesday 25th October 2017 at the Village Hall, The Street, Fulking, to discuss the following planning applications:

SDNP/17/05246/HOUS – Hillbrook, Clappers Lane, Fulking. BN5 9NH
Demolition of the existing garage and attached lean-to storage outbuilding. Construction of a detached garage building with associated hard and soft landscaping works

By prior appointment with the Parish Clerk, a maximum of 2 people may speak for up to 5 minutes each in favour, and a maximum of 2 people may also speak for up to 5 minutes each against the application. Once the meeting is in session there will be no further public participation.
