The BBC to film Mayfield — update

Look out for the story on LAMBS’ battle against Mayfield Market Towns to be broadcast on The One Show tomorrow evening from 7:00pm.
The One Show was filming in the locality yesterday looking at Mayfields’ proposals and the wall of opposition from local people. Andy Kershaw and the film crew began at The Royal Oak in Wineham just after breakfast where they spoke to leafleting volunteers before moving to Twineham to interview a local land owner. By lunchtime they were up on Devil’s Dyke talking to LAMBS and the CPRE and then on to Haywards Heath for comments from Mid Sussex District Council and a spokesman from Mayfields.
Pigeon rehomed

Found in Clappers Lane, apparently en route to Knole House, and immediately adopted by the team from the website.
The new Pigeon will consist of two sides of A4 and be based on the website. It will appear on the first of each month. One side will consist of the calendar/diary of events for that month. We will depend on you to tell us about all the things that need to be included. Telepathy is insufficient. The other side will contain (i) routine Fulking items that pertain to the coming month — church and parish council matters, social committee matters, etc., and (ii) text contributed by readers — letters, rants, pleas, anything legal. Just send it in to the email address in the banner above. All Pigeon Post material will also appear on the website.
Aidan’s Pigeon Post

Pigeon Post has come a long way since Nick and Jill Bremer put the idea together quite a few years ago. The biggest leap forward since then has been the contribution from the most recent editor, Aidan Walker. His imagination and artistic ability had made it a village newspaper to be envied by other villages. I, for one, am terribly sorry that an era has passed and that his format has had to be discontinued but I quite understand the reasons.
Many thanks, Aidan, for doing us proud.
