Join us for an exciting love story which will tickle your French fancy! This spectacular show has all the elements you’d expect from a traditional pantomime with loads of silliness to boot! Come and see the story unfold!

It is not automated so will not happen immediately, the Beast has large hooves and tends to chew the keyboard so it may take him a while to send them. The tickets do not reserve seats, first come first seated.

Poynings Bonfire & Fireworks

Join us for our bonfire and fireworks at the Blacksmith Field (behind Forge Garage) on Saturday 5th November. The procession will leave the Royal Oak at 6:25pm approximately. Lighting of the fire and fireworks will follow. Please give generously on the gate. Hot food and drink by Sussex Four Wheel Drive in aid of Ye Olde Villagers Christmas Dinner. [Last year, mulled wine was £3.00 glass, and hog roast with stuffing and apple sauce was £5.00.]

Clean-burning material (wood & cardboard) can be taken to the bonfire site from today until 5:00pm on the 1st November.

Apple pressing at 11.30a on Sunday 2nd October in Poynings Village Hall. Have your own apples pressed at 50p per litre; bring containers or buy 1 litre bottles at 25p each; please wash your apples beforehand or wash them on site.

We have managed to secure a reinforced concrete base for the outdoor table tennis table, one that complies with all the regulations, for £1400. We have £600 in the bank so there is just another £800 to go. Any last minute donations would be most welcome: drop an envelope in to either Sheila Marshall (Oak Cottage) or Colin Warburton (Hideaway Cottage).
