Downland Benefice Services

Downland Benefice
The decision has been made that public worship will be suspended for the time being. The four Benefice churches will remain open for private prayer during normal opening hours. Weddings, baptisms and funerals will still be able to take place but with as few people as possible in attendance. We we hope we will be able to get back to normal as soon as possible but in the meantime please hold one another in prayer in these challenging times.

[Note also that Toddlers (Fulking Village Hall) has been cancelled for the foreseeable future.]

Andrew Griffith/Joy Dennis surgeries in Poynings

Andrew Griffith and Joy Dennis

Our new MP, Andrew Griffith, is holding a surgery at The Royal Oak in Poynings on the morning of Friday 28th February. Joy Dennis, our West Sussex County Councillor is also available for consultation.  Both surgeries are by appointment:

Andrew Griffith – via email to Michelle Taylor michelle@andrewgriffithmp.com
Joy Dennis – via email joy.dennis@westsussex.gov.uk

This is an excellent opportunity to raise any concerns you may have with your local representatives in person.

Bob’s Cafe reopens

Bob's Cafe reopens
Bob’s café is open again this Friday, 31st January, from 11:00am–2:00pm, and all Fridays for the foreseeable future. Also open for coffee and bacon sandwiches this Sunday so long as the football is not rained off. If you have retained any of the café’s white melamine plates (first used for pizza takeaways), please return them as the café is a bit short of them.
