Dusk Birds
Join us as dusk settles to look and listen for the variety of bird species that inhabit Woods Mill. As some head to roost, we’ll listen out for the most prolific of night time singers, the song thrush, the blackbird, the robin and of course, the glorious nightingale. We’ll also keep our eyes peeled for silent nocturnal hunters, the owls. Meet at the noticeboard by the bridge. Free event. No booking required, just turn up. For more information please contact James Duncan.
Wildlife and the Planning Process
Are your neighbours considering a development? What protected species are most suitable for disrupting their plans? How can you get the critters to take up residence on their land? How can you best document their presence in ways that will persuade the planning authority to veto the project? Sadly, this brief course does not directly address these fundamental questions. But attending it will be much cheaper than hiring ecoNIMBY Associates LLC and you may learn something relevant to your campaign.
Moth Trap Morning
Over 2500 species of moths have been recorded in the UK. Join us as we open the previous night’s moth trap in order to identify just how many of those we’ve caught. Meet at the noticeboard by the bridge. Free event, though booking essential as places are limited. To book please contact James Duncan.
If you can’t make 18th May then there are other opportunities on 9th June and 29th June.
