In the field next to the church in Church Lane (BN6 9BT) on Sunday 23rd June 2017 from 10:30am to 4:30pm. We are using a bigger field to welcome more visitors and more stalls promoting local and traditional businesses, with lots of stalls and homemade cakes. We are raising funds for the upkeep of Newtimber Church and also supporting the Martlets Hospice and SUDEP.

Annual Poynings Cricket Match

The 3rd Annual Village Cricket Match will take place at The Cricket Ground (opposite Mill Lane) on Friday 14th June. The Village versus Poynings Cricket Club, a Twenty20 game, will start at 5:30pm and last about three hours. To make this bearable, there’s a barbecue and a bar. The Village Team is actively looking for new talent. If you are interested in playing, fielding or helping, please get in touch with Rupert or Mike.

Poynings Country Fete

Please join us at our traditional village fete in the (former) rectory garden on Saturday 15th June from 2:00–4:30pm. This event helps fund the general upkeep of our beautiful Norman Church. There will be games and stalls for all ages — golf, toys, plants, cakes, books, a raffle and a tombola. Enjoy a scrumptious cream tea and watch the maypole dancing or puppet show with a glass of refreshing Pimms.
Vandal (still) at work

A public meeting is scheduled for 7:00pm on June 14th at St Peter’s Church, Henfield, attended by our MPs, Nick Herbert and Sir Nicholas Soames, together with planning experts and local community leaders.
