Annual Poynings Cricket Match
The 3rd Annual Village Cricket Match will take place at The Cricket Ground (opposite Mill Lane) on Friday 14th June. The Village versus Poynings Cricket Club, a Twenty20 game, will start at 5:30pm and last about three hours. To make this bearable, there’s a barbecue and a bar. The Village Team is actively looking for new talent. If you are interested in playing, fielding or helping, please get in touch with Rupert or Mike.
Poynings Country Fete
Please join us at our traditional village fete in the (former) rectory garden on Saturday 15th June from 2:00–4:30pm. This event helps fund the general upkeep of our beautiful Norman Church. There will be games and stalls for all ages — golf, toys, plants, cakes, books, a raffle and a tombola. Enjoy a scrumptious cream tea and watch the maypole dancing or puppet show with a glass of refreshing Pimms.
Games Evenings
Table Tennis: at 7:30pm on Fridays June 14th, 28th and 12th July in Fulking Village Hall. [I myself won’t be playing on the first date as I am still recovering from illness.]
All welcome Jen Green (552)

Bob’s Cafe closed on 24th May
The electoral authorities have renewed their efforts to suppress the vote in Poynings by once again requiring that Bob’s Cafe be closed for two days. What next? Book Nook?
