Shepherd and Dog – Premise License Application

The Shepherd and Dog pub have applied for a new premises license to play pre-recorded music, live music and films both indoors and outdoors in the garden.

The application includes:-

  • Pre-recorded amplified music every day 10am to 11pm
  • Live music amplified and non-amplified every day 11am to 11pm
  • Screening of films with amplified sound every day 11am to 10pm
  • Late night refreshment every day 11pm to 12:30am

Preston Nomads: licence change

Preston Nomads bar as it once was
Preston Nomads has applied for a change in the way it is licenced. They wish to change from a club certificate to a premises licence. The main differences are as follows:

  • The ability to hire out the premises, provide alcohol and regulated entertainment to non-members;
  • Provision of regulated entertainment — films or recorded music between 8:00am–10:30pm Monday to Sunday, indoors;
  • Supply of alcohol 8:00am–10:30pm, Monday to Sunday indoors and outdoors;
  • Hours of the premises: 8:00am-11:00pm Monday to Sunday.

A talk with musical illustrations by retired Glyndebourne Principal Coach Jonathan Hinden. At Newtimber Place on Saturday 1st November at 7:00pm. The Village Blacksmith Poynings
Bank Holiday Monday, 25th August, music, beer tent, stalls, bring-your-own-picnic:

  • 10:30am Fun run, junior fun run & sprint, cycle race, all at
    the Blacksmith’s Field;

  • 02:00pm Presentation of fun run awards at the Village Hall;
  • 02:30pm Tug-of-war, north versus south;
  • 03:00pm Children’s traditional races (egg & spoon, etc.);
  • 04:30pm Calling of raffle.
