Market Garden at MSDC
The Planning Application SDNP/15/04159/FUL (application for one gypsy pitch at Market Garden, Clappers Lane, Fulking) has been recommended for permanent approval by Mid Sussex Planning and is to be decided at a formal meeting of the Mid Sussex District Council Planning Committee to be held at 7:00pm on Thursday 19th November at Council Chamber, Mid Sussex District Council, Oaklands Road, Haywards Heath. This recommendation is contrary to what the Parish Council had previously been advised. Anyone who is interested in the application may attend (click the map above for a PDF copy of the relevant document). If you need more information, please contact Derek Blackhall (parishclerk@fulking.net).
The PC will be attending the Committee meeting and will be speaking against the application, based on comments and feedback received at the PC planning meeting held on 9th September.

Fulking Calendar Project
The Village Hall Group would like to produce a calendar for 2017, as a fund-raiser for the village hall.
We are inviting people to take seasonal photographs of Fulking and nearby Downland views over the next 12 months or so… Ideally, we would like to have a photo reflecting each month of the year.
The images need to be digital so that they can be sent via email. The aim would be to get the calendar produced by next December, so get snapping now for autumn and winter photos!.
Please email the photos (with a title) to Chris Gildersleeve gilder6646@aol.com.

Truleigh Hill Health Walk
Five miles, Tuesday November 10th 2015, 2:00pm–4:00pm, five miles starting from the High Trees car park (by the roundabout where the A2037 joins the A283). Organized by Horsham District Council, free, led by trained volunteers. No need to book, just turn-up at start point.
Clappers Lane reprofiling reprofiled
MSDC have advised that the large bank outside 5 to 13 Clappers Lane is about to be ‘reprofiled’, i.e., the level reduced to the same height as the footpath and graded down to the road. It will then be turfed. This is because of erosion and earth falling into the road, a problem that I first reported a year ago. The work will start on Monday 2nd November Friday 6th November and last for up to 3 days 5 weekdays. Access to Clappers Lane from the village will be severely limited during working hours between about 8:00am and 4:00pm.
