To be held from 11:00am to 2:00pm on Sunday 1st May in the Village Hall. Only two weeks away! I hope some of you have been growing plants. I have corn cockles, cosmos, nasturtiums, sunflowers, and white mallow. We will want cakes for refreshments too, and I need about three people to help with the latter. The gardens at Newtimber Place will be open as part of the NGS (National Gardens Scheme) on Sunday 17th April between 2pm and 5.30pm. The gardens are lovely at this time of year with stunning daffodils and beautiful fritillaries. Beautiful Grade I listed C16/C17 moated house (not open). Gardens and woods full of bulbs and wild flowers in spring. Herbaceous border and lawns. Moat flanked by water plants. Mature trees. Wild garden, ducks, chickens and fish. Tea and home made cakes in aid of the church. There are ducks, chickens and guinea fowl wandering around so dogs need to be kept on a lead. Admission £4.00, children free.
Fulking Parish Council will hold their quarterly meeting at 7:30 on Thursday April 14th 2016 in the Village Hall — agenda. Members of the Press and Public are welcome to attend.

A talk by Alan Barwick (Curator of Henfield Museum) to Henfield History Group at 8:00pm on Tuesday 12th April in the Free Church on Henfield High Street.
Fulking Village Action Group is planning to produce a Downland Village Calendar of photographs for 2017. Money raised from the calendar will go to help the village.
We need high-quality photos of local landscapes in different seasons and weather, also local wildlife, flora, livestock and scenes of village life / local activities. And we need them now!
Please email your submissions to photos@fulking.net as soon as possible, and by end of May at the latest. Images taken on a decent digital camera should be fine, but ideally they should be as large as possible with a minimum pixel dimension of 2500 x 1700. Also send us a telephone number so we can contact you.
Landscape format is preferred. You must own the copyright of the images and agree to publication of them in the calendar.
Friday, 8th April at 7:30pm. Darts, table tennis or pool followed by a visit to the Shepherd and Dog at around 9:30pm. All welcome.
